Attempting to obey God and follow Jesus Christ our Lord

Blowing in the Wind

The Supreme Court is on the verge of declaring the Constitution of the United States irrelevant. By that I mean if they rule that gay marriage is a right and that everyone must accept it, they are no longer basing their decision on the text and meaning of the document, they are simply basing their decision on whatever opinions are prevalent. The constitution is the foundation of our country, if it is not stable, neither is our country. If the Constitution can simply be reinterpreted to fit whatever prevailing opinion is blowing in the Wind, then every time the sands shift, our foundation moves until it no longer supports the structure and we cease to exist.

  1. Thanks. As far as the Federal government and the Supreme Court is concerned, the United States Constitution has been irrelevant since the start of the Civil War 154 years ago. As another perfect example, Roe v Wade immediately overturned the prohibition of abortion by 46 states in 1973 simply by a SC decision, telling the entire country and world that individual states are not sovereign and have not been, again, since the Civil War. When the Constitution was created, states were sovereign entities. States now have zero power against the Federal government, meaning, there is no check on its 100% authority. You are right that the SC can and most likely will make another decision which tells the whole country and individual states that it has all power and can do whatever it wants whenever it wants regardless of the desire of the great majority of this country.

When Bob Dylan wrote the song, there were people in this country that still cared. Looking forward to the new “The Times They Are A’Changin’” with the Great Awakening coming forth. Amen.

    Be blessed.

    • Thank you, R J, and I personally agree. Perhaps I should have said even more irrelevant, I truly think that there is no stopping the degradation of this country and am saddened at the place we are in. I remember the country of the fifties and the sixties and sadly believe that it was that very quietness on our conscience that allowed evil a door. We weren’t suffering persecution in the way many Christians are today and our churches were planted on shallow soil. Now the product of those plantings are surfacing and we see that they are not bible based but instead are leading people away from our Lord Jesus Christ. God bless you my friend!

  2. Thanks Patricia. The blessing of persecution only comes, of course, when real Christians obey the Lord Jesus and do what He said to do. Since persecution is now increasing, it is yet another sign that real Christians in America are gaining in strength and are beginning to overcome all the garbage foisted up by Unreal Christianity and its love fest with evil power. The latter has no power with God because UC is antichrist and the fruit of that is obvious. Keep up the great work as we head into a new day.
