Are You Hungry?

Do you ever wonder what it is going to be like in heaven? I am not talking about the physical aspects, nor even what we will do. Do you remember the first time you surrendered to God?

For me it was an amazing sense of peace and yet it was totally fulfilling. As if never again would I ever have to worry about anything, and I wanted it to last forever. How glorious that feeling was. How much more glorious it will be to witness God’s glory in person!

God’s glory is so awesome!!! It fills the universe and makes it sing!

Psalm 19:1

The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

Moses requested that God show him His glory!

Exodus 33:18

And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory.
And yet how fearsome the power that created the universe! So powerful that God has to protect us from it’s full impact:
Exodus 33:22

And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:

It can overwhelm, it is overjoying, it is the most wonderful aspect of our Lord and Savior that we can experience on the earth.

Psalm 8:1

O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.
Psalm 8:5

For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honou

And yet imagine how much greater it will be in heaven!!!!!

Isaiah 60:19

The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the Lord shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.

Psalm 104:31

The glory of the Lord shall endure for ever: the Lord shall rejoice in his works.

Psalm 72:19

And blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.

Update on Annie and Prayer Request

Dear friends, Annie is in desperate need of our prayers and is facing many hurdles. Here is an update from her. Please do hold her up in your prayers.

 “I’m asking you to pray for Rey and me Patricia. It has been three years since Rey has worked, we’ve eliminated a car, cut down on expenses, no longer have TV, have darn near exhausted savings and are about 2 months from insolvency, and have an appointment with an attorney soon. I’ve approached my family for help and now I’m approaching my friends for prayers, and counsel.

I have a total ankle replacement in 2 weeks that I’m trying to keep a positive attitude for; but when I suggested to Rey that I put it off (because it’ll require a trip and rehab for 6-9 weeks) to Chicago and a return to Chicago in 12 weeks (which I’ll probably tell the surgeon I can’t do); Rey wouldn’t hear of it. “Annie, this might very we’ll be the last time you have the opportunity to get some facsimile of a life back). I sort have put together a scenario that goes;

have the surgery, and because I have the surgery, I’ll be (eventually, like in a few months-a year) able to walk (not run), and by so doing, lose weight. THe pulmonologist feels that my lung problems, although not completely, are due in good part to my weight (I’ve got a pretty small frame)

If the lungs and my ankles are less problematic, I’ll be able to get in the pool more often and lose weight. The hazards of immobility/sedentary life style are numerous, not the least of which has been on my heart. So, I ask you to pray, pray like only Loopy can pray.

Love, Annie”

Dear Lord, You know the needs of us all, You are the Great Creator! You answer when You are asked, we have to do the asking. We are gathering here to request your help for both Annie and Rey. They are in need of physical help as well as financial help Lord. We have faith in Your promises Lord. And we ask this in Jesus wonderful name! We give you glory and praise Lord! Amen and amen!

Parched and Weary

“Heavenly Father, I thank you for waking me up with a sound mind thirsting to get my day started in You. Lord, I thank you for shaking my soul to cry out in prayer for the precious sheep that are dearly loved by Thee. Lives are living in despair, hopelessness, bondage and fear. This is not how You would have us to live. Day in and day out we can choose You! Day in and day out we can choose to have our thirst quenched from the pain and sorrow, the anger and frustration that we endure from this old world. Father, I don’t want to see your people give up. I do not want to see them live in mental torture. Our physical bodies shall perish one day but Lord our minds can be kept in You. I know this to be true. Hallelujah!! I am standing on faith that those who are parched and weary come to You. I pray that no matter what life brings that we can find the strength to crawl and receive rest, regain a new strength, a peace of mind of mind just beyond the river. Jesus, Your precious Son, is waiting for us! This is our hope. He is our Hope. We will not be left nor forsaken. It is time to come. It is time to stop trying to do things on our own. We need you Lord. We need you right now. May the lame, the deaf, the leper, the sinner, the prisoner, the one fighting addiction, the one who is trapped in their mind come. Let all who are sick and in need of a Savior come. He’s waiting to take us in His arms to love on us and heal us. Just beyond the river we will find rest. Thank you Father God for waking me up and stirring my spirit to call on You. Not just for myself and my family within my walls but for all of Your children around the world who are crying out and are lost. Receive my prayers this day O Lord in the mighty name of Jesus I pray, Amen.”

Jesus says: “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30 NKJV)

My fellow brothers and sisters in the Lord, I come lifting you up in prayer praying for your strength and steadfastness in the Lord to be a light in this world sharing the love of Jesus with many. Pray for the nations, pray for the hearts that have turned away from the Lord for whatever reason. Pray for yourselves that you would not lose hope on your own journey with Christ. Though we all grow a little weary and parched at times we know where to go. Jesus is our eternal rest and peace. He will quench our thirst when we are running low. This is a time of refreshing! Let us all follow through with the purpose that God gave each of us. Let us feed His sheep. This is His will. We would not be where we are today had it not been for someone sharing the Gospel with us however it came to us. He chose us so let us show our love and faithfulness back to Him out of obedience and draw men unto Him for salvation, peace and rest in Christ Jesus. Much love to you I send this day,

Terra

“But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.” (John 4:14 KJV)

A.W. Tozer : Some Other Time

Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. –John 14:12

You will receive power” (Acts 1:8a). “Eagerly desire the greater gifts” (1 Corinthians 12:31a). Anything that God has ever done for a soul He will do for anyone else, if the conditions are met. The Lord who blessed these men that I spoke about, and the thousands who followed them but whose names are not known, is willing to do the same for us as He did for them.

Unbelief says: Some other time, but not now; some other place, but not here; some other people, but not us. Faith says: Anything He did anywhere else He will do here; anything He did any other time He is willing to do now; anything He ever did for other people He is willing to do for us! With our feet on the ground, and our head cool, but with our heart ablaze with the love of God, we walk out in this fullness of the Spirit, if we will yield and obey. God wants to work through you!

The Counselor has come, and He doesn’t care about the limits of locality, geography, time or nationality. The Body of Christ is bigger than all of these. The question is: Will you open your heart? The Counselor, 121.

“This thought is very convicting, Lord. I know I’ve been guilty of praising You for Your power and goodness, while secretly doubting that You were really going to work in my present situation. Forgive me that duplicity, Lord, and give me faith to believe You for Now, for Here, for Me. Amen.

The Reign of the Messiah Psalm 72

Give the king Your judgments, O God,

And Your righteousness to the kings’s Son.

He will judge Your people with righteousness,

And Your poor with justice.

The mountains will bring peace to the people,

And the little hill, by righteousness.

He will bring justice to the poor of the people;

He will save the children of the needy,

And will break in pieces the oppressor.

They shall fear You As long as the sun and moon endure,

Throughout all generations.

He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass,

Like shower that water the earth.

In His days the righteous shall flourish,

And abundance of peace,

Until the moon is no more.

He shall have dominion also from sea to sea,

And from the River to the ends of the earth.

Those who dwell in the wilderness will bow before Him,

And His enemies will lick the dust.

The kings of Tarshish and of the isles

Will bring presents;

The kings of Sheba and Seba Will offer gifts.

Yes, all kings shall fall down before Him;

All nations shall serve Him.

For He will deliver the needy when he cries,

The poor also, and him who has no helper.

He will spare the poor and needy,

And will save the souls of the needy.

He will redeem their life from oppression and violence;

And precious shall be their blood in His sight.

And He shall live;

And the gold of Sheba will be given to Him;

Prayer also will be made for Him continually,

And daily He shall be praised.

There will be an abundance of grain in the earth,

On the top of the mountains;

Its fruit shall wave like Lebanon;

And those in the city shall flourish like grass of the earth.

His name shall endure forever;

His name shall continue as long as the sun,

And men shall be blessed in Him;

All nations shall call Him blessed.

Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel,

Who only does wondrous things!

And blessed be His glorious name forever!

And let the whole earth be filled with His glory.

Amen and Amen.

The prayer of David the son of Jesse are ended.

Pastor’s New Baby

A pastor’s wife was expecting a baby, so he stood before the
                         Congregation and asked for a raise. After much discussion, they passed
                         a rule that whenever the preacher’s family expanded, so would his
                         paycheck.

                            After 6 children, this started to get expensive and the congregation
                         decided to hold another meeting to discuss the preacher’s expanding
                         salary. A great deal of yelling and inner bickering ensued, as to how
                         much the clergyman’s additional children were costing the church, and
                         how much more it could potentially cost.

                            After listening to them for about an hour, the pastor rose from his
chair and spoke, ‘Children are a gift from God, and we will take as many
gifts as He gives us. Silence fell on the congregation.
In the back pew, a little old lady struggled to stand, and finally
said in her frail voice, ‘Rain is also a gift from God, but when we get too
much of it, we wear rubbers.’
The entire congregation said, ‘Amen.

Praise and Glory

Jesus is considered by scholars such as Weber ...

Image via Wikipedia

In a world where it seems as if madness reigns supreme we know that there is just one divine being that we can turn to. The One that is always there and always in control. The One that gives of Himself, and gave His only begotten son that we may have eternal life. May you always know His love and may you always remember that He is there and that all you have to do is ask.  In Jesus name, I give praise and glory, and I give thanks for all the times that He has touched my life. I pray that you, too, will take the time to say “God, in your Son, Jesus name please help me. Thank you, Lord, Amen.

Shiloh, The Place Of Peace (via Scripture Nuggets)

the first of the Epistles to the Colossians

Image via Wikipedia

When I felt as if my world was spinning out of control and that I could not take it anymore, I let go. I remember being curled up on my bed, crying out to God and saying “please God, either let me die, or save me, but it’s up to you, I can’t take anymore.” With those few words my life changed. It wasn’t that I quit hurting, I didn’t, but I gained peace in my life. It became something that I could handle. Answers started to come and the problems, suddenly didn’t seem impossible. The sense of peace that I felt then and that I feel now, when I give everything to God, is simply something that I cannot describe. I hope and pray that you have God in your life. If you don’t it is simple to give him the permission to help you, you simply ask “Please God, help me in Your Son’s name, I give you praise and glory, Amen.

John 14:27… (KJV) “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (MSGB) “I’m leaving you well and whole. That’s my parting gift to you. Peace. I don’t leave you the way you’re used to being left—feeling abandoned, bereft. So don’t be upset. Don’t be distraught.” Colossians 3:15… (NLT) “And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hear … Read More

God vs. science (via ChristianBlessings)

God answers all questions if we only listen and ask! Thank you God for answering my prayer today. I give you praise and glory, in your Son, Jesus name, Amen!

God vs. science GOD vs Science  ‘Let me explain the problem science has with religion……… ‘The atheist professor of philosophy pauses before his class and then asks one of his new students to stand. ‘You’re a Christian, aren’t you, son?’ ‘Yes sir, ‘the student says. ‘So you believe in God?’ ‘Absolutely.’ Is God good?’ ‘Sure! God’s good.’ ‘Is God all-powerful? Can God do anything?’ ‘Yes’ ‘Are you good or evil?’ ‘The Bible says I’m evil.’ The professor grins … Read More
